10 Fun facts about Korea (part 1)

1. In summer rain season you can see many people with rain boots it's like a fashion here haha

2. Korean people are tall. At least taller than me! I'm very short btw 160cm and high schoolers are like 190cm!!!

3. Dating is a big thing here. Every 14th of each month is a special date, couples wear couple teachers and couple rings, couple phones, cuple bank account, couple.. you name it. And they put their Girlfriend/Boyfriend's picture as their profile pic on social medias.

4. Koreans have another way to count their age... This one is difficult to explain but if you were born in one year it doesn't matter the month everyone has the same age... And you are born with 1 year... Haha something like that. 

Example: I was born in 1991 and I'm 23 years old but in Korea I am 25.

5. Some Koreans don't know that other countries count their age differently. 

6. Most Koreans are afraid of English! 

7. If you have a "small face" and big eyes you are the most beautiful person in the entire world for them. (True story)

8. Apparently I have the smallest face in the world and people have stopped me on the streets just to take pictures of me and mothers want their kids to be in the picture too.

9. Some ajummas are scary.

Story: I wanted to cede my seat on the subway to an ajumma and she pushed me back saying no no! Haha I think that's her way to be nice.

10. Everyone follow the same fashion trend. If you are young you will dress like every young person including the beautiful aluminum foil sandals! And if you are an ajumma you need to get that beautiful perm and wear clothes with all the colors in the rainbow and more.
